The 2016 SRHF1 League Championship is now just three races away from ending. The host of Round 16 brings the Circuit of the Amercas, a track that even though it's relatively new, it's one of the favorites for many drivers. Coming into the race, Argenis Riera retook the Drivers Championship lead by 13 points over Ezequiel Montero who just passed Otto Acosta, the leader prior to the last race. Mercedes leads the Constructors Championship by 31 points over McLaren-Honda while Williams closed in the gap to just 50 points behind the leaders.
There are 75 points available in the Drivers Championship, which means it's too early to talk about probabilities. But if Argenis Riera has a great weekend and both Ezequiel Montero and Otto Acosta fail to score, then Mexico could certainly be the place we crown a new Champion. At his point, it's advantage Riera and Mercedes.
