Osvaldo Angelone left the Circuit de Monaco with a hattrick after obtaining the Pole Position, the race win, and the fastest lap. The Red Bull driver had to endure a tough first half of the race when Ezequiel Montero managed to sneak past him early in the race. The Argentinian led 30 laps until an unfortunate collision lapping Otto Acosta just after the pit entrance forced him to do a full lap without a front-wing. This handed Angelone the race lead which he never let go until the checkered flag. Richard Walcott secured another podium with a second place finish while Ezequiel Montero, with a broken car, managed to crawl back up to third. Championship leaders Ferrari left the race with just a 20th place finish when Adam Freitas was forced to retire from an electronics issue with only 3 laps in. Cory Mackey, the Drivers Championship leader, had to sit out this race due to his first son being born, congratulations to him and his family!
