Ezequiel Montero is now one step closer to clinching his maiden championship after winning the Mexican Grand Prix. The recently signed Sauber driver Glen Thomas had an impressive race and finished in second place, while Argenis Riera saw all hopes of defending his crown diminish after spinning coming into the pits and losing the brakes in the last few laps of the race. After this result, Montero only needs to out-score Riera by 4 points in Brazil and the 2017 Drivers Champions title will be his. On the teams' side, McLaren will need to out-score Renault by 18 points or more in Brazil if they are to remain with mathematical hopes of winning the title. Will we see both championships getting decided in two weeks time when we travel to Interlagos? Stay tuned for the penultimate round of the SRHF1 2017 season from the Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace.
