FYI, in the past, we've had reports of invisible walls in the tunnel's left-side railing and another one on the right rail at the tunnel exit.

I will not be racing at Monaco because I don't want to be in the way of so many faster guys. There's very few places to get out of the way and I don't want to hold you guys and influence the race.

Do you remember when you got in to practice? I know liveracers was having some difficulties to sync so I may have to check manually.

Quali:

In Q1 I was only able to set one lap time. My second lap was cut short when on the run up after T1 I saw a almost standing McLaren and Jeff trying to avoid him, I saw a gap on the right and went for it but I don't think John saw me coming there so we crashed.

In Q2 I had a decent first lap putting me in 4th and on my last try I was actually up on Ivan's time but I had to avoid a slow Walcott at the Piscine, that ended my lap right there.

Race:

Had a decent start and was side by side with Ezequiel heading into turn 1 but I let him go on the exit to avoid the big one. I was on softs and was able to stay behind the lead, pitted around lap 10 for mediums. About 2 or 3 laps into the stint I made a small mistake I touched the wall before the Casino hairpin, the suspension was a bit damaged so I decided to come into the pits again. After that it was an uphill battle, I only used the mediums and I guess I was able to leap frog a few towards the end. With just about 20 laps to go I saw Otto putting soft tires and thought he was going to have to pit again, but that never happened. In the end I took advantage of Ivan's brake failure on the last lap and took 3rd place. I can't complain, I could've finished second but the early mistake compromised the strategy. Anyways, I got the fastest lap as well so overall it was a good result.

See you in Canada!

I was in before official, and stayed in about the first 20 minutes of official practice. It's not that big of a deal.:)

Team was happy with a P7 start.

I made a good get away and tried to not over do it and after a few laps was feeling good. by lap 13 or 14 I was in the lead as everyone else pitted, i came in on lap 16 and never saw the lead again but was fun.

I was in a battle with Richard,Janos and possibly otto could'nt keep up with Otto and through stops switched places with janos, last stint I was in P5 and closing in on janos might of caught him by last lap or so and with i van having brakes problems I may have passed him, but I botched the entry into the hairpin and got spun wrong way and lost a lot of time 8-10 seconds trying to get turned around. fortunately I was far enough ahead of richard so not to lose my position. I had one other 1/2 spin out of the chicane after the tunnel which cost 6 seconds earlier in the race as well and a good knock at T1 when I was close to Otto which did cause some damage which may have affected my pace a bit. glad i didn't lose my wing. So P5 in the end and a great result! with Teammate in P7!

Congrats to Corey and all finishers, tough race.

Qual: 11th....Story of my life this season

Race: Was going to take it easy and changed my strategy on the fly, going to Mediums after first stop, which was hastened by knocking off front wing at the top of the hell going down. A few laps after hit the exit curb pretty good out of the swimming pool and hit the rear and boom, engine gone. I usually like Monaco, but not this year in this car, never felt comfortable like in years past. Probably needed more practice.

Wow. 7 pit stops and you can still get the win. 10 laps a set of tires each stint. I've never seen that tactic before.

Yeah I'm not happy about it. I will set up a test server with tire updates to see if we move forward with that. The tires this year are not good...

IF you run qual laps while others are saving tires, and you're out front, why not?

That's what I figure happened, Sean. Get in front, just run qual laps and hope other people don't get close enough to make it not work. Seeing other people got much longer runs on the softs, I don't think the tires were bad, but someone figured out how to gap the field and make it work.

I have noticed this trend in the last 2 seasons. Run the tires harder for more speed, and stop more often. A few guys could get speed and good wear, but not many.

Is there an actual possibility of a penalty for hitting ESC in Q1 if you didn't make the top 10? I only did it because my session was over and I was last on the track and didn't want to take 1:30 to driver around the track when things got of to a late start.

I understand your reason Sean, the thing is that if we allow that then we would need to start making exceptions to the rule. Let's keep it clear as it is, if you see the chequered flag, you must return to the pits without hitting ESC. I've been handing out warnings as a first offense but the second one will be an actual penalty.
